fyi -- I've got a set of 32 pitch 5 blade herrings that might work well in your application -- I used to run them on my28 Apache with 700hp a side... always hooked up real well...

I have the same boat with 630hp each same drives ran 6,000 30 pitch 4 blades 2inch shorties decided to try -3 shorties with 5 blades 30 pitch labbed from blades what a mess! Blowesout ,forces the bow down and lost 3mph and very difficult to drive. The next thing is 1/2 inch spacers than 1 inch and maybe back to 4 blades -2

Richard great real world info here. Maybe the -3's had a bit to do with it... but yeah I'm not looking to lose speed or driveability that's for sure!

been debating it, just don't want to have to end up needing to turn 5 blades. everyone tells me -2 shorties on the late model 32;s plane like hell with 4 blades, then some told me they didn't gain any mph

thats good information to know, i can see how it would handle better running flatter. i was told by a gentlemen with a 32 who installed shorties and gained 2 mph. it seems it can be a critical game of trial and error. every boat responds differently

If the boat responds better with more load, deeper in the water you might want to space the lowers down a bit. -2 shorties don't work in every application
