I may be low balling the numbers. That being said, everything in this motor is built for endurance over raw power. The only thing still stock inside the motor is the crank. My pistons were around 900.00, my flywheel was around 400. It all adds up really fast. Their are two ways to build an engine, big power for short amount of time, or decent power for a long amount of time. Oddly big power way can be cheaper. Look at the c5r engines. Only like 650 ish hp, but runs the 24 hr races and costs $70k. Or you can drop 18k on a 1000 hp motor but it only runs for maybe 10 minutes at a time. Think top fuel vs formula 1. Top fuel is 6000+ hp but is rebuilt after every pass, and formula 1 runs for hours on end.

If anyone can send some nice weather this way... it would be greatly appreciated. My little heater just can't handle below zero temps. Since I can't work on my boat I've been collecting parts for my 56 Buick build. I've got a complete c5/6 corvette front suspension with z06 spring, and Nascar truck arm rear suspension. Full float 9" and aluminum truck arms using the mono ball. Planning on a twin turbo ls engine, and I'm using the corvette engine setback. Should be a fun car when it's done.

So I decided I didn't like the first dash I built. So since I'm running the fast ez efi 2.0, and it's digital dashboard, I wanted to refine and compact my dash. This is the skeleton frame I've come up with. Much smaller, and smoother lines. Sorry it's been so long since my last post. With recovering from my injury and working on my hot rod the boat just kinda fell behind.

Sdg, this project is more important. Great idea going with a digital dash. Look forward to the progress, now get back to work, lol.

I recently got to go out on my brother-in-laws 2000 checkmate, so being in another go fast boat kinda refired my drive to get the boat done. Yeah the digital dash is nice has everything except speedo, trim, fuel level and depth. So it's far more compact and easier to keep an eye on everything.

Hey I'd say my Buick project is coming along good. But it's nice to be back on the boat project.

Say hello to dashboard v2.0. Much smaller and way lighter. I'll be making a matching passenger side as well, along with side consoles. I can't wait to get these both done and in the boat.

I just picked up a 92 excel with a 502 in it and the hatch actuator is missing? I don’t know what length to buy or position in engine compartment to mount it. Was hoping you could measure yours and take picture on position to help me out.
