Thanks, I keep it in mind.

Couple of setbacks (but I guess that comes for free with any project), I had send a package with engine parts to the wrong address in Miami and after 3 weeks of searching; it was declared lost. So re-ordering the parts now, but it will take two weeks more at least to get here. Furthermore we decided not to gel coat the boat but to go for AllGrip paint, saves me a lot op polishing every 6 months and it will get us some of the time back we lost the couple of weeks.

We are currently working on fiber and making modifications in the boat, putting in new flooring, making extra hatches, new doors to the front of the boat, and sanding it. The old graphics have been removed. Ill post some pics soon.

Boat is completely stripped now, all the old paint is removed. We put in new flooring, made some extra hatches and are working on the new dashboard and new doors to the bow.

Again a setback. As I mentioned before I have send the transmissions to On-site Diesel Repair in Florida. I knew the transmissions were in a bad state, told him that and I asked the guy 2 things: Can you start immediately and what is worst case scenario to overhaul the transmissions. He said I start right away and absolutely worst case would be 4k each. First of all it took him more than a month to start working on them..... But the most bizarre thing he send me a quote for more than 8k each!! So more than twice as much than what he said would be worst case. And now he says: I didn't expect them to be in this bad condition... WTF does worst case mean in Florida.... Anyway, I bought brand new ones for less what he asks to repair the old ones, but it will cost me another month to get them here. So everyone out there, be warned if you want to do business with On-site Diesel Repair in Fort Meyers.

I always tend to think when you have a business for many years and you have a customer that pays you a fair price for a fair job, why screw around? But unfortunately it doesn't work that way. I think its also a disadvantage to be from abroad, they think they can get away with it more easily.

Ups and downs of projects like this, but in the end you'll know that it is a solid ride built with great quality! Are you doing the glass work yourself?

Good point airjunky, he promised me pictures a couple of times, but never received anything. I'm going to ask for them right away.

The transmissions were not in the water at all. But I knew they were a problem on the boat. They did sightseeing tours with the boat, load it up with 40 people and you can imagine what happens when you put a young macho Aruban at the wheel as a driver and the boat contains a couple of hot American chicks. They will push it to the limits. The transmissions are fine for light or normal use, but not for heavy use like that. It was an designers error.
