A lot of us do shortys on the 22s. I don't have any personal experience with the 18s.

Just started restoring
Pulling the motor, drive and transom assembly.

1st up is sending to Steve (east of Cleveland ) to do new stringer and transom.

Has there been any issues with foward fuel cell on old donzi's ? Thinking about restoring that too

Yes... my 1987 22 did respond well to a shorty as it did not roll on its side with a stern lift prop anymore.

My suggestion is to drive it first (don't raise the x) you can always put a lower on it for less $. down the road once your used to it..

Just for the record it took a lot of work to get the Arneson to work on that boat. It wants to push the bow down and some kind of lifting fin was fabricated and tuned. He did it though! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1jKhIXJ0fME

Interesting to know..! I always wondered how they tuned that 18 to stay that stable with that set up.
