21 Challenger / Scorpion restoration, recore, carbon fiber, modified bottom: runs 102
Here is a really cool restoration of a 21 Scorpion, based on the Challenger. A new core, Coosa transom, Nida-core structure and carbon fiber parts, all epoxy resin. The owner did all the work, including fabricating his own trailer. He modified the bottom by widening the pad and adding a notch. It weighed 997 lbs with the floor ready to rig. Runs 102 MPH with a 300XS.
Really cool boat. He even painted it himself with Imron. Lot's of details in the article.
