Congrats on the purchase Scott, Good luck with her. If you are converting to a single I may be interested in one of the #4 drives and Transom assemblies, Let me know if they are for sale. Chris

Not giving up on the sternpowr it is just that I have always visioned the speedy 4 or 5 as my favorite setup for a single engined 28 footer. It would allow low mounting of the engine and therefore lots of room for blower and big superchiller without a scoop.

A single 28 Saber is one of my dream rides. I have thought about this setup and would consider a Konrad without the tranny in the extension box setup. I know it puts the engine forward to accomodate the tranny outside the box.
Is there room for that configuration?

Re: No Excuses 28 is now home!

Thanks guys, & Yes am am excited about the project. I have plenty of room for any drive combonation that I want to go with. I also have plenty of engine height room with no scoop due to the raised engine hatch. I would really love to try running a konrad setup. Any doners out there ???

Re: No Excuses 28 is now home!

I recieved my exhaust via ups this past thursday. they are gill manifolds with stainless marine dry tailpipes. So it should sound pretty nasty. I really need a drive soon. I just listed my 33 plymouth rat rod on ebay with hopes of turning it into an outdrive ! We will see what happens.

Re: No Excuses 28 is now home!

Those headers are sweet ! & so is that power. I have a really good motor & as of last week I now have exhaust. What you have that I would really like to get ahold of is that #6 & I would be in pretty good shape.

Sell that car and you can buy my extra #6.

Can't go wrong with that baby on there, Check300 on the board here has a single engine #6. Matter fact Saber set the X-dimention for him and he run triple digits with her.

I'll have it for a bit, have tomany other things going on.
