Hi Scott
Here's a thread about the Comanche. I'm in Jersey.

Are you going to be in Key west in November? If so I will be happy to give you a ride so you have something to compare to whichever apache's you have ridden in. NK

It seems the small weight savings are in the cored bottom and no full cabins. Having said that MM's boat is lighter than any Saber built. I think better motors, boxes and better props are the main reasons for a little faster boat power for power. With identical power Allez Vite is a little slower than Ancestral Spirit and it is at the most equal in weight. Although Mark McManus says boxes do nothing, all three 41 staggered Sabers have gone over a 100 so, gasp, he might not be exactly right on this one. NK

Someday I'll also have dry drives and maybe boxes, then will be more apples for apples. Till then it's all good, I'll be by the shop with that flying RED ROCKET tomarrow afternoon. See ya then, Steve.

Hello Parnell
Saber runs well with the extension boxes, that's reason enough to use them. If they ever brought back Open Ocean Racing I would expect to see Saber doing very well. The 47 Saber should be exciting, I can't wait to see it.
As always I wish the people at Saber the best with their Offshore powerboat.

Hello Scott
The Comanche has 540 c.i. with 871 bowers, SSM III drives. I haven't used the Comanche since I purchased it because of my workload, plus bought a new house and a thousand other reasons. Fast forward 2 plus years to Spring 2007 and there is Ed at the ramp with the Comanche. Thanks for the compliments and remember you are always welcome aboard to enjoy a ride.
