the boat still runs low 60s, in the planning stages of some motor upgrades. but a new house has slowed the process.

I may be interested in a platform latter on. ( Just remember us little guys when you start selling a ton of them. )
Thanks for finding out about the X-dimension , I am not trying to second guess Doug , However I figured that it would be a little higher than that. 15" would put your propshaft right around 7" below the keel which is pretty deep. I can't remember but what year is your boat ? & what year was the last single built ?
I finally remembered to measure the prop shaft and bottom of the boat, came up with 6" difference. hope this is some info you can use. martin

Time for an update of the update thread
As some of you have figured out already my 28 Saber "No Excuses" will most likely end up with 2 XR ITS's on the back of it. & possibly twin small blocks ( but the power options are still up in the air for now ) Either way I am very thankfull & blessed that I am no longer in need of an outdrive !!
I would like to say thanks to everyone that spent their time emailing me with various drives they either had , found , or even knew of. Thanks guys
I plan on running the Pantera a bit this summer while I decide exacly on how I want to power the boat. I will be sure to keep you guys informed as to how progress is coming along. After all this forum could use a little action.
Here is a pic of what the rear of the Saber will most likely look like in the near future , Only in good ole fashion Yeller as we here in the south would call it . Latter guys , Scott

Not 100% sure if I am going to use the motors or not. They are 350's & they run sweet , Just not exactly sure what I want to do yet & I am keeping my options open for now. Yeah I am excited about those ITS's hanging off the back.

Trouble with boats whats that ? ( sorry for the 2 month delay )

The Pantera is almost apart. I pulled both drives , all of the gauges , shifters , steering helm ect.. Saturday & then I pulled both motors today. So there is a little progress being made towards the Saber.
