Default where are your gas tanks in the saber28s

how many singles have there gas tanks behind the rear seat taking up 14'' of your bilge. are there any with tanks between the bolsters. I am going to build another tank this winter for my floor, there was a ski locker that john glassed in he told me so I am thinking about a 50 or 60 gal tank for there after I run this lady in aug.. my old tank was 80 gals and cruising I should get about 2 mpg wfo 1mpg. so for a long race like long island ny, I would still have to stop for 1 fill up with 2 tanks and 3 with 1 tank. also next spring I want to do the island race in fl. thats like 120miles. no stopping on that one.with my wife I will keep it at 3000 to 3500 rpms = 55 to 65 mph with a 32 5 blade I am figuring. so sigles or twins wheres your tanks.

Mine is in the middle of the floor. About 8 inches of the tank is visible from the engine compartment, and leads forward.

just like mine, this was a tuff replacement, had to cut the bulkhead out cut the old tank in half. when built they must of put the tank in 1st then the deck. well mines done painted the bilge today just need to add a lil bit of foam. I made the new one longer/taller put thinner by 3'' so the blower would fit. now we got to stick the motor back in and get testing. my x is a high oneso I hope Iam right that it will wake up these boats like it did to the sutphens. thaks to the 3 of you for the info. Iheard there was one built with the tank in the floor of the cockpit but it was a wet ride so the new owner had one done like ours. Ieven thought about saddle tanks in bilge. there a nuff weight back there now with the konrad ace xfactor. its much bigger than a bravo or trs but shorter then both.
