Hey Art, we were running 5-6 lbs boost. Compression is a little high at 8.9 to 1. Ya we can run 93 oct. BUT with the knock meters we see detontion when running hard if it's hot out. It has to be 50 to 60 degrees with cold water temps to run hard on 93 oct. My chillers are the older style and are not feed by the sea pump. Just water pressure from the pickup. That will change to. We're putting 3 stage sea pumps on also.
I am sure you will get the 28 dialed in, I've been reading your thread, you and the guys will get it figured out. You're gonna have a hellava boat there,

thanks, I am at 8.4 to 1, I will being the small pulley to find the top speed, then if I find I am cruising a lot under 4000 rpm. I'll put the big pulley. what kills me, I had the boat for 9 mons before the motor was ready back in nov 09. then the leak in the gas tank 2010. what would be great to see, is this p5 prop working and not having to do anything else. oh my chiller is feed from the stage three pump. have fun Art

Glad you found you some, I know they practically give those away..

I'll be a good boy & keep my comments to myself on that last one.. well maybe.. haha !!

As we've talked about before, I love the looks of the 5 litre's with 2 throttle body's sitting on top, however as you know you will be a touch better off efficiency wise with what you bought over the "top loader".. (not in any way saying that the rear entry 5's don't look supper sweet as well !!)

I personally don't see any reason you won't be Completely fine at 8.9:1 on the CR.. I have no idea how the efficiency compares on your existing coolers v/s something newer like the "moac", but as you hommies know your gonna be way ahead of the game just from the general tunability that your gonna gain alone.. Not even taking into account the parasitic loss & heat disadvantages you mentioned the 14's having over the 5 litre's.. Not a "roots hatter" by any means here b/c they have their place as well, but it's hard to argue with how the whipples perform..

"all that controversy going in a hull derived from a 41 Apache that your coming in from the rear on" Now there's a recipe for a jacked up thread my brotha !!
