Got the Scarab out today, installed the rear hatch pad, got the cockpit carpet ordered, and cleaned it all up and got it ready to go. Anyone have any ideas where I can get a cabin door made? I would like one made out of plastic, or plexi. Any ideas would be appreciated.

I made mine out of plexi...never really worked out well. It finally cracked after a pounding in the ocean (you won't have to worry about that). Been without the door for a season now...If I do anything I'm going to have my canvas guy make something with a zipper door.

Hope things are going well for you scottie...Glad your getting the boat out!

Good to hear from you Eddie- missed you at Havasu this year- how are things down south?

Couple of pics from building the rear hatchpad- not real great but I will get some better ones when I get the carpet.

1972 48' Pacemaker,
I was thinking of making one out of plexi too. Or maybe starboard. Around here we have a place called tap plastics that will build stuff like that for you. Eddie how thick was the plexi you used on yours? Did you go with a one piece door or two that folded in the middle?

Buy this and he will cut it to the size you need. (5 free cuts)
Then go to a local tint shop and have him throw some limo (5%) tint on the insiede. Drill your holes and your done.

I am actually having the top hatch made in Acrylic (plexiglass) now but the original was Lexan. (polycarbonate)
