fuel gauge , going wackey
hey , i have a 31 scarab 1991 my fuel gauge is going baserk , im thinking of pulling the floor panels up to find the sender unit , im i looking in the right place , help

yep . . .the system is pretty simple. just a gauge a wire and a sender. make sure all connections and ground wires are in good working order than check gauge and sender.

I had to replace mine last season, not too big of a deal. There should be a easier way of getting to the sending unit. Mine had a slot in the floor where the grounds were, and another where the sending unit was so it wasn't bad, may be different on your boat though.

I have a 94' that I replaced the sending unit in last year and there was a cover that you could pry up right above the sending unit in the floor.Then you unhook the two wires and unscrew the unit and it pulls up thru the hole.Not sure if yours is the same or not,but something to look for.

did 2 new fuel senders in a customers 38 last summer, very easy project, just pulled the 2 panals in the floor up and they were right there. went with original equipment senders manufactured by ISSPRO they were about $100 each. boat is a 97 and is for sale.
