Re: LR3 Towing a Scarab

i used to pull a 98 24 outlaw full of gas and everything else wich was prob around 6000 but the owners manual say you can do 7700 i think with trailer brakes so i think you'll be fine but you'll go through brakes really fast,i changed mine at 16k front and rear.

Re: LR3 Towing a Scarab

Yeah Im pretty sure the 29 would be too much for the LR3. But the Baja 25 outlaw with trailer brakes sounds like it will be the way to go for my truck. And it looks like a sweet boat but I wish i could get twins. If anyone has any information that is different from what im thinking on the Scarab 29 let me know.

Re: LR3 Towing a Scarab

Baja 25 outlaw weighs in at 4750#'s

29 scarab is 5500 with the single , 6300 with twins

trailer 1500 to 1800

I think you are still way over with the baja!

I do work for a lr dealer and have a 29 scarab. The owner asked me to buy a truck from him. I said if you have one that will tow my scarab I will. He laughed.

Re: LR3 Towing a Scarab

LR3 is claiming 7700 lbs towing capacity with brakes on the trailer. The baja and the trailer come in under 7000 why cant the LR3 be considered good enough to tow that?

If the owners manual says it is rated for it then you are golden! I didn't think it was that high. Good luck!
