Re: exhaust options

Do you have the canister style mufflers in either corner of your engine compartment? You can either eliminate them with some angled adapters, or I am running silent choice' but I turned the Y pipes side ways so they feed the mufflersand have the through hull straight out the back. I'll try to post apicture if you're interested.

I went with Stainless marine on mine. Sounds great and added a few horses to it. Everything was a bolt in applicaiton.

Re: exhaust options

Here's what I did. The previous owner had put block off plates where the mufflers dump out and ran straight through hull exhaust. I converted it to silent choice.

Re: exhaust options

Thank god we dont have to have silent exhaust in my neck of the woods.

I have the stainless that dump out the back. That looks like what they put on the 26 scarabs back in 96 from the looks of it. I would end up putting some clamp on if I had to do it.

I used Lightning exhaust. I have been very impressed with them. and they sound great. I am toying with the idea to make them dry and have the water dumps. But for now it is loud enough.

My 26 came stock with the red dump mufflers that are in the picture. The through hull is what was added.Supposedley, the dump mufflers don't rob HP, just quiets it down.
We don't have to run silent choice, but on our lakes, there are a ton of police boats looking for DUIs and will use any excuse to pull you over and do a "safety check". We run in silent mode after dusk to draw less attention to ourselves.
