have you tried the next size down in pitch or slightly smaller diameter props? You should be turning about 4800-4900 rpm's. It should give you an extra 1-2 mph.

i was running 66/68 depending on conditions w/same set up before the blowers.I have 23 mirage props.

1999 29 Scarab with Twin 350ci / 300HP - (GPS Speeds)

68.01 with a full tank and two people before I had my props re-done. With the props cleaned up 70.06 (GPS) 1/4 Tank and two People.

Which props are you using ?

14 5/8 x 23 Mirage - "OEM" Props. They had a few large dings in them when I got the boat so I sent them out to be cleaned up, No major work - just cleaned up. The engines are stock, I think? I bought the boat from a repo yard and have no history on the engines, I belive they are both stock.

In salt or soft water

I don't know if it's true to think about 2 mph gain in salt water?

Freash water. Lake St. Clair, MI

I have read that people are getting 72mph with a stock set up! I'm not sure how that is, the best I have got was 70.6 - and that way down river, wind at my back, light fuel and light wife!

68mph is pretty much an everyday number.
