I would try and go with a 29 if you can find one in you price range ....I had a 28 Excell for 12 years .

For sale , 1994 29 twin 350 mags. New mercruiser long blocks under warranty til 3/2008. New alpha drives and gimbals under warranty til 3/2007 (they only give 1 yr on the drives , 2 year promo warranty on motors). Bennett dual ram tabs with indicators. Here are some pics of my 89 Excel. I picked it up in 1990 as a replacement boat for the 26 Nova II that was lost in a Marina service building fire in Lorain , Ohio. I still have it and the hours are very low (73) as of 08/18/06. The low hrs are due to work, kids and just lack of time. I just started to get back into boating as I now have finally been able to break free and start to enjoy the water again. Top speed is between 63 and 65 on perfect day. It is all stock and original. Pics were taken in August/05.
