Why the huge reduction??

Scarab P-29 down here in Houston. Never saw the engine but the exterior was fair.

Re: Why the huge reduction??

I think I saw that one parked down in South Shore Harbour area the other day. I think there just trying to get out from underneath it with the economy. I would still have a survey done if I was going to purchase it, just in case.

Its a good deal if its on the up and up.

Of course I know where a single engine 29 could be had with all the goodies for the same price!!

Re: Why the huge reduction??

I Looked At The Same Boat When They Wanted 50k And I Saw Alot Of Rot Under The Back Seat And Also Around The Deck Hatch Was Completely Rotted Out. It Also Has Alot Of Cosmetic Stuff That Would Need To Be Fixed.have It Surveyed And If You Are Willing To Spend Some Money On It, It Could Be A Good Boat. I Would Pass
I Do Like Those Blackhawks Though.

THAT IS ALSO A CONSIGNMENT LOT SO I WOULD TRY TO TO GET THE OWNERS NUMBER.

Eliminator Boats is building the 43 Scarab. Same hull, modified top. The first one will have staggered 1075's! They are planning to build 10-12 per year. I can't wait to see it....

Re: Why the huge reduction??

The identical boat is for sale up here in Illinois for 59K.
I love the boat, but haven't looked at it up close. I don't think he'll trade even up for my '96 26 footer.

Re: Why the huge reduction??

The owners name is Mike. I've known him for quite a while and have no doubt he'll disclose his reason for selling as well as the condition of the boat. He's a pretty good guy (for a boater!)
