Twin 300 Promax on a 302 Sport

I an interested in this 99 302 sport. It has 2004 twin 300 pro max mercs. I was planning on fishing in it part time. Does anybody know if it will hurt those motors by trolling them?

Also what kind of fuel will they suck down?

The add says it hits 70+

Friend of mine has the same boat with 250 EFIs. Solid boat, just check for soft spots in the deck and other wood-related issues. And if it has a radar arch, its not especially easy to move around with a rod. Motors should be fine, just run em hard from now and then to burn some of the carbon out...Good boat for the money. Brad.

I have a 2001, 302 sport w/ 250 EFI's and absolutely love the boat. My buddy has those motors on a 35 Donzi, he likes them but they do load up w/ carbon and are not great for trolling, they prefer to go fast!
I don't really fish, let me know if you have any interest in exchanging or selling them if you buy.
Good luck to you.......
