What fuel tank do I have 1996 26ft scarab

I was wondering if anyone knew right off the top of their head if the 96 has a fiberglass fuel tank. I just read an article in the new hotboat magazine that said the fiberglass tanks in older boats are really having problems with the new ethanol fuels. Any other information on this subject would be appreciated

More than likley,you have an aluminum tank! I used to have a panther which ahd an aluminum tank!This was 30 ft!I think the what the magazines were talking about were the older jet/ski boats 1970's era,with big blocks!

U should have an aluminum tank in your scarab.

It is definetly an aluminum tank, I had to drill and tap a -8 fitting in the top of mine for a fuel return line.
