Have you dyno'ed your engines with the pro-chargers? if so what HP are you running with your low psi set-up.

no dyno time. Motors have never been removed or opened up. IMO if it is set up right it is an awesome setup.

Was Pro Charger able to give you an estimated horsepower with the set-up you’re running? I’m guessing around 400hp per motor according to http://www.go-fast.com/boat_speed_predictions.htm -

Re: 29 with twins

Pro-chargers give some numbers but i think there are too many variables. I could push mine with timing and lean the fuel system out to get more speed but I don't think the risk is worth it. there are also pulley changes that could be made. I believe mid 80's with 7psi is feasable but has come risk as with any mods that are done. I think you are close. Boat weighs 6400 + fuel and gear. 100 gallons of fuel alone is 800+ lbs. Odd thing with my boat is it is faster with a tank full of fuel. Some weight was also added with the Pro-chargers.

Re: 29 with twins

If I recall you were getting 71 out of your stock boat with “Huston Props” With my mods (Exhaust, K&N & ECU Works) along with throttle up finished props I don’t think 72/73 is totally out of the question.

Did you ever sell those extra props you had?

Re: 29 with twins

The one time 71 best was with the filters exhaust huge tail wind nose cones cool fall early morning weather and major current. In most cases it ran 66-68 depending on conditions but saw 69 on more then one occasion. No I don't have any props left right now. I sold all of them when I put the chargers on. I hope you get what you expect, keep us informed.

Re: 29 with twins

Well I need the parts anyways, I plan to strip and race the boat in the #5 Class. So I'll bolt up one part, test and report, bolt another and so-on. I'm running 68.. If need be I'll pull the motors and cam them to get a little extra.

My boat also is faster with more weight. I run in the 90's with twin Pizzagalli Racing small blocks and Blackhawk drives.

Re: 29 with twins

I have read that blackhawks are good for 5-6 mph. i wonder what a set of 2 inch shorter drives would be good for.

JP, you going to send me pics of the Chris Cat?
