Default Scarab 377 prop selection

Hello everyone. I recently bought my first boat and im new to this whole lifestyle. I love it. I bought a 1979 scarab 377 with staggered 400 series 454's. They are stock but in great shape. Im very happy with the boat. My question is prop selection. What should be on it and how many rpm's should i turn. I know it takes some playing around but if someone could get me started that would be great. Thanks everyone and im looking forward to this forum.

Welcome to the club, Who's boat did you buy? Any pictures. I am always watching for fellow Scarab owners on here from SE Mich. I am assuming you have TRS drives.

Thanks for the welcome. I bought the boat last fall so i forgot the previous owners name. I keep the boat at beacon come marina in harrison twp. Are you anywhere near? I have lots of pics but i just registered yesterday on this forum and haven't upgraded my membership. But i can send you pics. The boat looks almost new with the graphics and all the new stuff i did over winter. I love it.

I have modified mirage plus 23īs om mine. Whit stock 330īs with bravo ones it runs aprox 46 knots at 4600 rpm. I takes a while to get it in plane but I will uppgrade to bigger engines so it will do for now.

This is my first summer with the boat so the goal was just to get it into the water but it definetly needs more power.

The cyclone motos should turn 5000-5200 rpm max.
Try 23 pitch 3 blades, worked great on mine.
