How does this pricing look to the Scarab forum?

Hate to let her go, but I want to go to a cat.

I had been trying to sell my 40FT Excalibur Hawk for a while. It has 454/420's, TRS, complete boat with trailer, couldnt get 20k for it, had it listed many times. I think people are just scared of these older boats. To me, the thought of selling a complete water ready 40ft offshore boat for anything less than 20g is just nuts. Thats why I have decided to keep it. Your boat looks clean, and has the "Scarab" name, so maybe it will sell for ya. Good luck. Nice boat. Always liked the 377's

That's the whole problem, to update/replace, say a 38, you have to spend 3x the money. I've had my flat deck for 10 years. I know every nut, bolt, and everything in between on it. To sell it I might get $50,000 for it with trailer, I have more then that in it. Or keep it and crush waves with it.

I've easily got 30k in those 2 582's that I built. Best of everything in those machines.

I would ratehr sell it less engines with full rigging. I hate to see it go . I had it detailed by a pro yesterday and it looks friggin awesome.

I am going to miss it, but it is time to change it out and move on to another.

It will never be as fast as I want it to be even if I put another 100k in it.
