Any nice P29's out there...?

I'm thinking about buying one.
Did they only come with 350's?... how much HP are those?

They made only a handful (29 I think).. And they were only equipped with 350/300hp Magnums mounted to Blackhawk drives bolted into a light lay-up hull. I think its almost 900lbs lighter than a standard 29 Scarab Twin. Manufactured in 1996 only with the red/yellow paint they are getting very difficult to find in a good clean condition with no transom problems. I personally know of two that have pulled K-Planes from soft transoms.

Speeds were around 77mph Back in the day when tested buy the magazines, so figure 75mph with a normal load and water.

Hope that helps.

38' Scarab P-38
Was it 1996 or 1997 that they were produced? I believe there was 29 built. I looked one back in July 2001 at D**k Simon Marine in Dana Point. It only had like 20 hours on it.Mike

P-29 Scarab
I own a P-29, all original and in excellent / excellent condition.
I didn't use it much last year,2006. My son wanted to use it this summer, so I insured it with him as a user. He hasn't used it yet. It its too beautiful a boat to let sit, so I guess it's time to sell. For info call 912-727-2658

P-29 Scarab
You can look it up, I will sell for High NADA, Plus I purchased a new Garman 498 GPS this summer, has full warranty, never used, add $600.00 for it. The trailer is in excellent mechanical condition, six new tires this year, but needs painting to look new again. It is free with purchase of boat.
