Question Information on Propeller Selection

I have an 87 Wellcraft NOVA XL with a 454 mag an am interested in any suggestions regarding propeller selection. I seem to find that many folks with this boat run a Mercruiser Mirage Plus 23 pitch. I was wondering about possibly running either a Mercruiser Bravo1 22 or 24 pitch and was wondering if anyone has experience with those props? Thank You.

I have 92 Nova Spyder with a 454/300. I am running a Stainless 23p on a Bravo 2 2.0 gears. My top is around 55. I am going to recheck this next summer. From all the searching on the net, regardless of the prop it looks like this setup cannot do much better than 60 without substancial motor work.
