Scarab 31 Excel... How fast with twin 454s?

How fast does an '89 Scarab 31 go with twin 454s? These are rated at 330hp each. I'm thinking 60mph???

Hmmm....no offense, but it just sounds a bit fast with 365's and a boat load of riders. Was that with a GPS? Does your boat have a stepped bottom?---possibly with very very happy Speedo. (???)

1989 Scarab 31 Excel
Damn, I was hoping to hear 60 to 65 with the 330's and maybe 62 to 68 or so with the 365's. Mine are stock 365's in my 31 Excel. My speedo was inop but was told about 65 by GPS. I wonder what it would take to hit 70 MPH????

With the 454 mag. (365 hp) the boat should run mid to high 60s.

Would be about right. A few years back a friend of mine owned the first 31 Excel to come off the line. He was run'n mid to high 60's also. I had a 30' Villain with 330's and I was hit'n 62-63 all day long.
