1980 Wellcraft Scarab 377 twin turbo
Another Scarab KV for sale

I think I remember seeing this boat for sale on ebay last year. Looks interesting except for the fact that you will be blowing drives 2-3 times a year with the motors it has and the 4 blade props.

Looks like a stock 87 KV at least inside, and the bolster seats and cabin. I guess the Bravo 1's are the weak link with 700+ HP?

The interior would tell me its a pure Wellcraft. I see that in the description he says "Larry Smith" I doubt it....but I could be wrong????

Good find!

I would be all over that like a Spider Monkey!

Only downside is no trailer and 365 HP a side, which I would say that is propably a VERY stock 38KV in MV colors.

OT.
So a 1988 also had that early paint scheme (if thats a real MV edition..seems the purple fade is a bit short ?)..guess the late one appeared as a 1989 only..and the one in Finland was painted in late colours when it arrived here (HIN is a 1987)
It might been overpainted during late 1988 which gives away that it was used all the way to the end of the TV-series and after the end of the show was actioned like all the rest of them.
Thatīs how the story went the first time I heard it 1989 and Wellcraft verified the sold the boat to the TV company.

now I just wish I have the coin ready when my friend decides to pass it on...
Come hell or high water I want that boat and paint it once more and properly... but...as a late or an early one...now Smackys is already an early one....hmmm have to check all them episoded closely from season 3->

From the looks of them they look like 420īs..the Yellow flamne arrestors are a telltale or ??? Open to discussion here...never seen Golden arrestors but on 420-> engines.
And 365īs...then early Bravos maybe too ???
Now that would be an oddball...
From the looks of it quite nice thou.
