Scarab SCS Newbie
Hi everyone, Im new to this forum and Like what Im hearing. I just purchased a 97 scs about 2 weeks ago. How many if any are on this forum?

welcome to the club there are two of us left that i know of 502scs has the orange one and myself. i have a thread in here somewhere about 23scs's so check it out and enjoy that boat cause there is nothing like whipping big boat tail with a little 23 foot single

Hey thanks guys, I 'll post some pics as soon as I learn how ..lol seems like every forum is different. Unfortuantly mine has a 454 not the 502 but it is in real good condition.

How many SCS's did they actually make in 97? Ive only seen them online ..never in person. Mine needs some new decals on the bow..I guess that will be a sign shop job huh..

wellcraft dosen't know how many they made and i have never found a source for the actual production numbers. you are the first one i have heard of with a 454 option boat thats pretty cool

They actually made some SCS scarabs with the 310hp 454 and even a 350, no external steering, fewer accessories and guages.
I seen one like this for sale for 13k obo in Florida with the non mag 454.

Wellcraft knows. After all, these are registered boats with VIN tags and build sheets. It's unfortunate they don't want to take the time to help a guy research a boat. Went through the same thing with mine. Had a chance meeting with a guy who knew people down there. One phone call and I had all the info I wanted with a build sheet. |
