I do not know much about your 31 scarab... how it handles and what kind of power you got etc... but i have a friend who has a 34 viper around that year and he has no problems out of his powerquest... it rides so nice and smooth in choppy waters and better on smooth water.... his has twin 496's and gets outta the whole great...
