Yeah I see you running a 23p or a 24p max, without some high horse power you'll never spin a 26p. I run a 26p on my 21ft scarab and I have a tough time spinning it with almost 600hp. The other thing is an unmodified 454 is more of a lead weight than a power plant. You either need to upgrade some components or even maybe think about a swap for a slightly modified small block.

You don't have enough power to spin that prop, try maybe a 24p. also prop design has alot to do with how you carry speed. Now when I run a labed prop I cant get my boat enough out of the water to run the speeds I wan't. I would stay between 22p-24p but try different styles, and blade numbers.

Hi everyone, I just purchased a 1987 Scrab1 21ft. Has a brand new 350 crate motor in it. I think everything is stock. What prop should I be running to get the most speed? Also should I be concerned it has a Merc Alpha One in it? I hear some good and some bad about these drives. Any help would be great! Thx.
