Are Scarabs high or low end boats?
I have been told that Baja are the low end of power boats but since have been told Scarabs are. I have a Scarab II and think it is OK. I guess Cigs are the top but where do the Scarabs fall?

I had a 38' AVS Scarab for three years and loved it. They can handle anything you throw at it. A former world champion driver once told me Scarabs have wave crushing hulls which are far superior to anything new out there.

Not comparing to the old force boats but my 85 is getting thrown around a bit to much on LOTO, that is why I want to step up to a 38. Just wondered how they compare to the others. If I found a 38 with a head and would handle LOTO water I would LOVE it. Money IS an option, just leave party cove or the boat races WOW!! fun but WOW.

On a scale of 1-10 I would say they have been around a 7 the whole time they were built. To me the Scarab is like a Honda Motorcycle not the beast at anything but a very good all around boat.
