100mph 28 excel??

How many hp would it take to get a 28 excel around a 100mph?

I dont think it takes to much a frien of mine runs 75 with 500 hp and another runs 85 with 625 or so i want to say. Both N/A motors. Do you want to run 100? what are you looking to spend?

You're better off trying with a CV-26 hull, even then it would be really tough.

There's a guy around here running 90 so I was hoping to get up around that. I have a spare 454 mag I was hoping to build. I was thinking of putting a twin turbo on it along with cam intake carb exhaust and getting the heads done.

28 Scarab, Blown 825 Hp, 78.2 Db
825 Hp and raise the X will get you 90 mph. I think thats enough for that boat.
