19.6 Scarab Jet.
Thinking about replacing the V6 vortec for a LS1 To save on weight and gain @ 100hp plus fuel injection. Will regular exhaust manifolds fit this engine? What are some of the other problems with this? starter? Alt?

Here is what I have been told:
Vortec V6 235hp vs LS1 345hp
LS1 will weigh @ 100# less
will have to get ECM reprogrammed to get rid of sensors
Max RPM on Vortec 4800?? LS1 6000???\

I know it wouldn't be worth the $ but how much Hp gain would a blower get me and how much.

The boat is underpowered with the impeller and porposes real bad with 3 or 4 people in boat. And is relatively slow out of the hole.

What about dropping a supercharger onto the V6? Aren't the Scarab jets kind of tight in the engine compartment? I alway thought that set up would be kind of cool.
