I had 23 Nova and liked it. Not a deep V so not real good in big waves, nice size cuddy for being a 23' boat, not real fast either. Depends I think some came with big blocks. Mine had a small block. You've got a pretty broad spectrum of boats here with not a lot of info. What kinda boating do you wanna do. Some of your goals with the boat and clearly more details about the options and conditions of each.

77 nova 250
I can throw in a bit more on the nova 23... 20 degree bottom, not the fastest.. spent a lot of time running one with a 330 (454)...I have seen more than a few of them with bad strigers and transoms..trying to run hard in 4 footers it gets scarey... feels like your going to break the boat.. light chop and they are fun..but if you want to be offshore...

I know I dont have a lot of info yet still trying to get the ages on the diffrent hulls. Im more or less looking for a go fast boat project that the wife would be comfortable haning on in the bay or taking the boys out for an occassional ocean run. i guess the bigger might be better in this case
