Sorry haven't looked at this thread in a while.
I have 1.5 Ratio Imco 2" Shorties. Part of my problem is the boat came with 600SCs originally. That was not a standard engine package in 1998. I believe they mounted the engines lower than normal because of the height with the blowers. This translates to a really low X dimension. The props are still about 3.5 inches below the boat.
My motors are about 800 HP each now. The boat runs an honest (GPS) 80 on calm water. On lake michigan with more choppy water I can get about 83.
Need to get a different drive that is higher but don't have the cash for something like Arnesons.
The guy that builds my engines has Arnesons. Maybe I should lift them when he not looking!!

Hello there, everyone, away for a short period, reading through the thread. Yes, this is not my boat, selling it for a very close friend. I got him into this boat and did all the running around and purchases for him. 32 Bravo's is what I had to give him for the boat. We have not run the boat and it might need 28's on it? Yes, it's a very nice clean boat, all and everything new on it.
If i did not have my own project, would take this one for myself. Anyway summer is here and let's all enjoy.

I'm sorry, but back when I had my 7.4 lx powered 22' Scarab it went 64MPH....PERIOD. Then I would see people out there claim that their 22' 300hp (7.4LX) would go"75+MPH" b.s.-b.s.-b.s. I am just trying to be realistic . Maybe Empire0007 is only going by what he has heard and is selling the boat for someone else. I wish him good luck with the sale. It is a very nice looking boat with a nice engine package (the same my boat originally came with). It is a tough market out there,I know, and a tough economy, for sure.....Mike
P.S. Not trying to get under anyones skin.

Thats cool. Empire0007, before you sell it you should probably swap the props for 26"B1s or even 25" Mirages (although 3 blades may blow out) I spoke to a guy in Havasu last weekend with a 38' Scarab (1998) and he has 502 mags that runs 23" mirage props and said he runs consistant 65-70. I may try 27" mirage or go back to labbed 26"s or something.Mike

Thanks for the info. I don't think we will be putting this boat in the water and i will let the new owner decided what they wanted to do. I just had a pair of 32's and i use run 34's with those motors in my Baja 33 SST before
