Just a idea.
Around 94 I took a pro stock style scoop and cut it down 4 inches and shortened the length.,a pain but the blower was sticking thru my hatch. I think some one is making it already cut down now,the girls didn't like it messing up the pad.I cut around the scoop and had it Sewn up,the pad fit tight around it,I also had some candy blue checkered flags painted on the side, subtle looking, blended in nicely

I guess your doing it for looks or air? The ebay ones look to be standing pretty high to me,boxy,If it was made for a Scarab ,which model? you might end up with more fabricating than ya want.

Keep us posted what ua do and take some pictures.
Rob

My sunpad is a must....as nice or "neat" as race hatches look, you cannot beat the extra room that a sunpad gives ya.

I think I will pass...........
