I have trim tabs from dana marine 17" and also a mayfair full hydraulic steering. The prop is a 30 pitch CNC but I still have some slip issues which I have to take care of cause I only saw 81mph at 5200rpms . but hopefully i will solve them.

Fastscarab, how come you are running a 25???? I use to run that pitch with a 502mpi standard.

its a solas high rack, witch means my bow is up and i run it at 5600 when i run it at full blast, i run a 26 bravo 1 that has been labbed most off the time and i can run tat at 5300 , not on my rev limiter the sollas blade gets me there faster . but as i said i was lookinf for a 27 , plus i have a 1 inch shorty on it with a nose cone . is your cnc prop a round ear scott

Scott,

It's not exactly a round ear, but you can't say it's a cleaver shape neither. I tried once a bravo, but it use to run with the bow to high, and as soon as you hit a 1 foot wave it sends straight up in the air looking skywards.

been there done that, i put the shorty on and i trim just over 1/4 to 1/2 and i cut there the waves iam talking 2 or 3 and can run at full like that and not get killed, with big power that shorty makes a big differnce in the chop if you go tho you tube you can see it run with the old drive ( scarab 22 at speed on west river )

525 is not enough in that boat. That boat needs 800 hp minimum

Scott,

with the shortie the handling improved and I also trim from 1/4 to 1/2 like you. Re the 1 foot wave it was just giving you and example cause we don't have rivers here. We will very luck to have a day in the whole summer with 1 footers, or else you have to risk a speeding ticket and give it shot in the harbour
Humm, 800 hp that's an idea. hehehe
