how fast can i make my scarab22

I have hp465 with a 731 came and some head work, they tell me it is about 540hp, with 27 pich 4 blde i am getting 80 83 with a 27 4 blade labbed , did have some botthom work done ,,,,at what speed does the boat hit the wall that makes it unstable

x2...I agree also. You're pushing that 22 to its limits right now if you ask me. I think they are pushing the "unstable" boundary when you get in the upper 70s.

it really runs great at top speed no chime walk ( most of the time) it is on you tube under scarab 22 running at speed on west river rember it has 1 inch shorty on it

ours only got low 60's...
i thought mid 70's was it...must be the bottom work.
i think you're at the end....for safety's sake.
there are a couple scs's for sale, but i think they're only good to the mid 80's...
how about an old school 26 race...?

I would be careful with anything over 80. A buddy of mine had one with a sold roller 540 in his and he ran in the 90's, but the chine walk on the boat was scary. He had to mess with props and drive heights and tabs to keep it close to be reasonable safe.

I have my 86 scarab 1 21' at 84mph I would think high 80s low 90s would be with in reach with a shorty and an extension box? I have little to no chine walk, just need to watch out for boat chop. I'm running 540hp with a three blade 28p
