does anybody have any idea how fast one of these boats can go with alot of power in a single big block? (Procharged 502)

I looked at one awhile back with the same combo and the seller claimed mid 70s

If that's true..that would work for me...why are the excels so cheap...seems like it's just as nice as anything else?

alot of people don't like the sit down seats (no bolsters) the one I looked at had bolsters but the tops were above the windshield,I think that's why the 29 and 28xlt are more popular

I wouldnt want to go much faster in that hull. Its more stable in a 1-2 ft chop at high speeds.

1988 scarab excel
i have a 28 excell with a 500hp 502 and ive toped out at 66 mph with a 4 blad and mine had the seats removed and has the stand ups installed but u do see them over the windshield
