what do yall think about edlbrock carbs, they are about $200 cheaper than holley carbs. Or is it worth spending the extra 200?

Holley 800-850's on your build....But first find out your problem. If you have 2 carbs put the good one on the bad engine first and work from there. I would feel pretty sh!tty telling you to buy new carbs, but you did not fix the real problem. Having a Badazz new carb sitting on an engine with a bent valve or broken ring is pretty worthless. I have 750 Holleys BG's supporting 590HP on 454's, but I could use bigger.

sir...the edelbrocks...rochesters...carters...and webers are basically all the same dog in the hunt. Try and find some good used Holley 9022's, have them rebuilt (easy to do) or somehow come up with the cabbage to buy new ones. YOU WILL LOVE THEM !!!!

P.s.....do what Rookie said first and make sure its not something else.
