Default Scarab jet boat

Anyone have experiance with these? Made from 96-98, powered by a Merc 4.3 with a Volvo jet drive. For my next boat I want something that can handle rougher water better than a 'typical' jet boat, and would like to stay with a jet drive (though I do like outboards) because of the shallow water here in the NC sounds, and since I don't think I'll be able to afford an Eagle Outlaw anytime soon this seems like a cool alternative for a rougher water jet...

How do they drive, handle waves etc?

Speed (I'll find that out later in the week)
Handling
Hop up jet pump parts
Impeller options

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Lake St Clair is not "jet friendly" with all the sea-weed.. It's now for sale (or trade for an alpha model)
