I just purchased a 1989 43 scarab was bill taylors it has DJ 43 stamped under the serial # was told it was a twin to don johnsons and bill took it to all the boat shows in 89 and was a flag boat after that. Anyone know this boat can help me with more of its history? Bill repowerd it in 94 with triple 525sc in 97 was sold to joe vasello and was called mad mag I contacted bill and he confirmed it was his boat and when he's back in the country with help me out with some of it history was on the cover of his magazine back in the day love to see picks
