Very cool, anxious to hear some performance numbers. What type of HP per side? Drives are also my biggest concern... curious to hear how it turns out!

Ill keep posts up as soon as I start the project. 502 mpi are coming next month. It will be a long winter project. Still need to find one more zz572. As fr as drives go, I'm not to worried, I've seen guys run 600 to 700hp on them and not much of an issue, it's how you drive them not over prop them. Great thing is if u pop a bravo you can put one back together pretty cheap. 502mpi suck in this boat won't run 70 and no midrange punch. Hoping to see 85 to 90 with 572 in it next year.
My last boat I built tall deck 540 in a cig bullet trs ran 80 with 26 4 blades spinning 5800. Midrange was sweet.

I'm going to the motors before they go in. I've heard of making 650 to 680 right out of crate.

Im with you on the drive thing.....less prop more RPM easy on the throttle. I know of a boat (heavy boat) running warmed up 600sc's on stock B1's with 32p 4 blades
looks like it takes around 600hp a side to hit 80 in a 38 avs.....very curious to how those zz572 will run......Those motors will like a real long primary header like a Lightning or KE
