Default Selling my Scarab...thoughts on how much to ask?

Hey guys,

I have a 93 38' Scarab Thunder w/ 502mags, pro chargers, and cmi exhaust headers...bravo xr sport masters for drives....

This is a project boat...The interior in the cabin will need to be replaced because it has bad mildew
Bolsters and rear bench are in good shape but they are in my garage....

One motor needs a starter (which I don't have) and the other motor needs a fuel pressure regulator and fuel pump (which I did purchase)

I would not consider the boat to be in very good condition, although from what I know, the hull is sound and when I had it surveyed a few years ago, there was no signs or stringer or transom rot...

What do you guys think something like this is worth? I want to get 15k, is that unreasonable?

I put some pics up....its a very good looking boat....it just needs a ton of work....

Gauges and switches would probably all need to be replaced also...

Wow that sucks! I hate to ask what happened to let it get that bad? If i had the money I would have left yesterday to get it. Sounds like this project could come out real nice with some time and patience? Good luck with Selling and hope you get out of it what it's worth at least. Sounds like you have interested parties already!

Its my fault, I took on too many projects at once and did not have the proper storage for it because I thought I could complete it fast enough....then I got discouraged and just left it be while I worked on some other projects that were of more vital importance and were coming along much better....the old saying about 'biting off more then you can chew', thats exactly what I did...

I ended up deciding that I would rather spend time on the water then spend time working on this, so I bought another boat....the 38' Coyote Beep Beep w/ the 496's....I ultimately came to the conclusion that speed was less important to me and reliabilty was more important...but I still can't get away from the bling of a 38' go fast boat....

So the Coyote was the perfect compromise for me...and I also realized that this scarab would never truly fufill my needs because when I would take my old 377 Scarab out, everyone would just hang out on the sunpad....of which this one has a race hatch...

I talked to Fixx last night about it, and he was giving me some good advice about the Scarab as well as he knew of the Beep Beep boat and was giving me some advice on it as well...
