Default Scarab 29 with two Big Blocks?

Hi,
annyboady know a Scarab29 with two big blocks?
I know i need spezial headers ( small headers ) that it works with the tramsom cut out.
My questing, can the Scarab29 handel the wight from two big blocks?
I thing one engine is around 200-300 pounds heavier then a small block.
I plan to install two 496 Ho in my 1994er Scarab 29.
Does that works?
Thanks

you will never get them to fit it is to tight with small blocks in there to work on i could not imagine working on two big blocks in there center line of the drive needs to be at lease 34"

Beam on a 29 Scarab is 76.6in. I think the AVS and other Scarabs are wider. No room in the inn...

Hi,
thanks.
There is enouth room in the boat.
the problem ist that the drive center lines are to small.( like trc2 sayd)
I am planning to make a new tramsom on the boat , so i can make the cut out for the drives that it works.
Or i must build extremly small headers.
My question is because the wight.
Because the big block are a lot heavier then the 350 mag that was originally in the boat.
But how it looks like that was never done before.
Will see.
Thanks

I have seen a 29 with twin 502s squeezed in it in the past. It can be done. It is VERY tight though. Depending on how you put together your engines, you can come close to netting on on the weight, keeping in mind that the 350s had cast iron everything. Liberal use of lighter materials, heads, manifolds, exhaust, etc, could keep you close to even.

Hi Humpster,
i own 2 496 HOs.
And i prefer standart engines.
I dont want blower engine in my boat.
I drive a 496 HO in my scarab 22 and it is a good powerfull engine.
I had no problems with that engine in the last 5 jears.
