What's the story with the layup: Done by Wellcraft or Team Scarab or Westerly or? Kevlar or glass?

Re: 43 Scarab with 1000+ HP and #6 drives
The boat was built for Red Adair..Composite lay-up boat that was supposedly built in California(Hull only) I have not tried to verify this

Its a nice ride. Crush the rough stuff.
But I think thats a little too much money for the age of the boat.
Its a a sweet boat!
Its nice to have twins instead of triples, which is what usually goes in a 43.
Nice package, but will only sell to someone who has a big pocket book for the drive an engine package. I think it will eventually sell in the upper 80's to low 90's.
Nice boat. Best of luck selling it.

It is a beauty, but even $80's is high. A midwest dealer sat on one, a '95 with trips for several years. They finally sold it for 75k with a Myco underneath it. Not sure I'd even consider it at $70k.

Keith, that has you written all over it-and you can even run it down to Dave for warranty work

You're too funny!! No doubt he does good work. The 1990 with trips start at $50k low retail. $70k for the '91 is still $35k short of asking. . . . I thought about it for a second, then I slapped myself .

Re: 43 Scarab with 1000+ HP and #6 drives
Everybody seems to be a expert on this 43 Scarab...Where can you buy a 90+mph 43 foot boat with Fresh #6 drives 100%rebuilt by TNT (18k) NEW CMI headers,NEW Huber 1330 Trannys,Fresh rebuilt motors that make over 1000HP,generator and air conditioning..Not to mention a Myco trailer for less than 100K..The motors drives/gimbles and exhaust are worth 60k at least without the boat!!
