Any Scarab 22 owners use their boat to ski?

I know that's not what the boat was designed for..but sometimes my friends and I use it for that...the problem is before it gets on a plane it's a little too slow, and once it's on a plane, it takes off too fast...so you have to constantly work the throttle, on and off to keep at right at about the point where the bow starts to fall. My question is, has anyone tried anything like ballast bags or anything else to make the boat a little better for skiing?

I put the tabs down a little more than halfway. I also go to a 22" 4 blade bravo 1. But not enough prop for high end runs. Doug

prior to my 26 getting a 550hp engine I ued to use it or wakeboarding and stuff. fun but VERY loud when you are behind it.

Puder, I have slip-in's that take some of the bite out of it. But they sure know when the engine is running to stay away from the drive. Doug
