Any idea of what price tag is going to be attached?
The boat looks SHARP.
I would be really surprised if it hits 70 on GPS. Much bigger boat than the original Pachanga.

Nah, it was designed prior to selling Baja.
I prefer Baj-anga...

It does look big for 22', doesnt it? The Hammer X is the same hull and that hit about 76 mph, so 70 mph with a slightly heaver deck is not out of the question. I have heard recently though that Sea Ray may prop it down top speed-wise to help avoid possible high speed accidents.

In all seriousness, I was expecting the new Panchanga to be modern not retro. Does the boat have Hydrolic steering? Livorsi controls? What power is in it?

2009 Pachanga
it has been "detuned" to run slower (65ish) but i heard will do over 70mph. They will be VERY hard to find. We just got our 2009 sport boat brochures and they are NOT listed in there. I heard they are going to build only about 80 of them and two are already sold! Anyone interested in getting ahold of one can contact me. My email address is w.kreie@marinemax.com

Mercury zero effort controls, gauges are better than Livorsi (Ill wait to pass my own judgement), and I doubt the hydrolic steering.
I think it doesnt look retro enough. I would have been happy with them knocking boats out from the old molds.
Power is 350Mag - 496 Mag Ho.
In regards to slowing it down, was that via a prop?

Donzi, Pachanga, STV... the worlds fastest production lake boat @ 151.5mph
|
No idea on cost, I have a pile of pictures from the sea ray dealer meeting.
496ho ITS and a bravo 3 runs about 65 all over the rev limiter. The boat at the dealer meeting was a pre production boat that was 1000 lbs over spec.
With an 2" shorty it will run 78.

Regarding price, I was told mid 70k talking price for the 496, mid 60k for the 350 mag with a bravo 3.
They are using the bravo 3 with the 496? Why?
Also, why was the boat 1000lbs over spec? Im curious, thats all. As an engineer I love to learn, haha! You seem to have all the info before anyone, as was the case with the initial news and pictures. Have you seen the pachanga site? Want to share any of those pictures?
