There was a member on the Pachanga site that was making a pretty good replica, I bought some and they look good just no clear coating on them

I have also made replicas.
Mine have a clear domed coat about 0,01" thick.

Would post a pic, but I can't seem to figure it out...

maybe you can try that head light polish,you have nothing to loose.
