382's are heavy, but Bravos can and will fail on any boat based on many other factors. Bravo XR's are used on much bigger and heavier boats than a 382's.

My Fastech originally came with twin Gen VI 502's, which were rebuilt and upgraded to Merc 500 EFI's. The boat didn't come with oil temp or fuel press sensors or gauges, but am looking to add them....

Final Update - Replaced the Coil, Wires and the HEI Ignition Module with a AC Delco GM/Merc module (old one was 1 season old in a new distributor and was supposed to be a Merc module and was not)....

yes, first start of the year a leaky injector and wouldn’t crank - that was a hydrolock. New plugs since, no damage was cyl 8.

Compression good all cylinders within 5 psi.

cut filter, no debris. May be able to bend a rod, but should make noise or cause debris.
