Neutral switch -

The only problem I see is the neutral switch only receives power when the key is in the "START" position.

Any idea where I can get the latch/handle assy for escape hatches in the floor?? I see lots of boats with a similiar design that will latch mutiple point with the rotation of a single handle - but...

Spot weld it. Had a client who had a welder weld his all the way around- distorted the pump housing- stripped the distributor gear- had to pull the engine and replace the pump and pick up.

Verify voltage to the small yellow striped wire at the starter itself.... with the key in the start position, you should here the solenoid click .. and 12 volts to the starter mounted solenoid....

A "click" is one thing -- if it was making a hàrd "thud" and not rolling over I'd agree.... But those primary solenoids drop like flies

No problem... they basically have two type they use - one with a flat mounting base - the other is mounted up a little bit. Both perform the exact same function and can be used if in a pinch ... just...

Very true ... wacking it with a hammer is not the solution ... it's not very hard nor labor intensive to drop the lower - pull the prop shaft... get it straightened correctly - then replace and reset...
